Our Top Remaining Targets For Georgia's 2018 Class

Heading into February 7th’s national signing day, Georgia currently possesses the nation’s top ranked recruiting class, which contains 22 players, including seven 5-star players, 12 4-stars and three 3-stars, according to Rivals.com.

Georgia’s not done yet, though, as this class still has some room for a few more prospects. Thanks to the early signing period in December, don’t expect too much action on February 7th, but there’s still some players to keep an eye on on the first Wednesday in February.

Here are our top four remaining targets on Georgia’s board.

5-star cornerback Tyson Campbell

5-star cornerback Tyson Campbell out of American Heritage in Plantation, Florida ranks as the nation’s 12th player, second at his position and fourth in the talent-rich state of Florida. The experts at 247Sports predict Campbell will commit to Georgia, but we will have to wait and see what direction Campbell chooses. Miami appears to be Georgia’s biggest threat.

Campbell would be Georgia’s eighth 5-star signee.

4-star outside linebacker Otis Reese:

Otis Reese is a 6-4 outside linebacker out of Lee County High School in Leesburg, Georgia. He is a current Michigan commit, but Reese will be taking an official visit to Georgia this weekend, his sixth of the year according to DawgNation.

Reese ranks as the nation’s 87th overall player, fifth ranked at his position and 12th in the state of Georgia. He has been committed to Michigan since the summer, but the folks at 247 Sports predict Reese will be a Dawg.

4-star defensive tackle Rick Sandidge:

Rick Sandidge is a defensive tackle from Concord, North Carolina, just outside of Charlotte. At 6-5, 288 pounds, the senior ranks as the nation’s 141st overall player, 14th ranked defensive tackle and sixth player from the Tar Heel State.

Sandidge  has a top-three of South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina.

The Gamecocks have been the program seen as the favorite, but Jeff Sentell of DawgNation says Georgia may have a better shot than some may think.

4-star wide receiver Tommy Bush:

Tommy Bush is a 4-star wide receiver out of Schertz, Texas, near San Antonio. The 6-5 receiver ranks as the nation’s 195th overall player, 37th at his position and 22nd in the state of Texas.

Bush is an absolute freak of an athlete, who can go up high and snag the ball or can blow past you with his speed. Bush visited Athens in December and seemed to enjoy his time there.

It will take a come-from-behind victory to land Bush, though. Baylor seems to be the favorite for the talented receiver.
