According to a report from DawgNation, five-star Georgia running back commit Zamir White has torn his ACL.
White (Laurinburg, NC) suffered an injury to his knee in a Scotland High School football game last Friday night, however, he was able to walk off the field under his own power.
White did not expect the injury to result in anything serious, but unfortunately for the nation’s No. 1 running back, the diagnosis was a torn ACL. (Scotland HS coach Richard Bailey confirmed to DawgNation).
Following last Friday’s game, White stated a helmet speared him in the side of his leg, resulting in the injury.
White ranks as the nation’s 6th overall player and No. 1 running back. Prior to the injury, White planned to sign with Georgia on December 20th and enroll in January. No word has been released as to whether or not those are still his intentions.
With the average ACL recovery time hovering around 10 months, White could be good to go by September, though with a promising career ahead of him, don’t expect the coaches to rush White back.
