SEC officials are warning fans to watch out for counterfeit tickets to the conference championship game between Georgia and Auburn.
Due to the game being sold out, fans are turning to online ticket vendors to purchase tickets on the secondary market.
However, as SEC officials remind us, counterfeit tickets are very common, so use caution when buying online and outside the stadium.
How to know if your ticket is real:
- Real tickets will display an authentic SEC holographic foil strip on the back
- The SEC logo will have the words “Southeastern Conference” on it.
- The holographic strip will appear and disappear as you rotate the ticket
- White lettering and blue panels on the front of the ticket will feel raised when you rub your finger over it.
Starting at 10am on Saturday, a ticket validation window will open up at the main box office. This will be the only place you can sure your ticket’s authenticity.
