In it’s second year under head coach Kirby Smart, UGA is heading to the College Football Playoff.

The playoff rankings and pairings were announced Sunday afternoon, and the top four look like:

  1. Clemson
  2. Oklahoma
  3. Georgia
  4. Alabama

We await official announcement, but it is likely Clemson, since it is the top ranked team in the nation, will get a geographic advantage and play Alabama in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.

Georgia and Oklahoma will likely meet in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

The last time Georgia played in the Rose Bowl?

That would be 1942 when the Dawgs won the national championship by defeating UCLA.

Georgia vs Oklahoma will kickoff at 5 p.m. from the historic stadium in Pasadena, California.
