Last night, Georgia linebacker Natrez Patrick was arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession.

However, the arrests do not end there.

According to a report from 11Alive, Patrick was not the only Georgia player arrested last night.

Wide receiver Jayson Stanley was also arrested on a DUI charge, plus misdemeanor possession of marijuana and speeding charges. Patrick was a passenger in the car with Stanley.

Stanley was driving 87 mph in a 65 mph zone.

As discussed here, this is Patrick’s third arrest and second of the season. Patrick started at linebacker on Saturday, and when he was suspended earlier in the season, his absence was noticeable.

Stanley, though he does not get much playing time at receiver, is an important special teams player for Georgia.

These arrests could not have come at a worse time for Georgia, who was just announced as the 3rd ranked team in the College Football Playoffs and will play Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl.
