When Baker Mayfield’s phone number was released to the public last week, Georgia fans were quick to reach out to the Oklahoma quarterback.
Baker Mayfield had to change his phone number last week when Georgia fans got ahold of it and started to send messages and phone calls to the Heisman frontrunner.
Mayfield, Georgia’s Rose Bowl opponent, sent out this tweet last week in response to the messages received.
During an interview with Reece Davis of College Gameday, Mayfield was asked which message in particular stood out to him.
Mayfield, while jokingly saying it was UGA great David Pollack who was responsible for revealing his number, responded.
It was one “about [UGA LB] Roquan Smith hitting me harder than the Fayetteville police did,” Mayfield said.
Mayfield was run down, tackled and arrested by a Fayetteville, Ark. police officer in February.
