Per reports, a Georgia safety has been arrested on some serious felony forgery charges.

This is not the news Kirby Smart wants to be dealing with as Georgia inches closer to playing in the College Football Playoff.

Freshman safety Latavious Brini was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and is facing first degree felony forgery charges, according to a report from Anthony Dasher of UGASports.

Via Dasher:

The native of Miami was taken to the Clarke County jail following his arrest by officers from the Clarke County Sheriff’s office before being released at 9:23 p.m. on a bond of $5,700.

Brini, a former 3-star recruit, redshirted this season.

Since beating Auburn in the SEC Championship, Brini is the third Georgia player to face an arrest. Linebacker Natrez Patrick and wide receiver Jayson Stanley were both arrested on the night of winning the conference championship.
