Former Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and Colorado State agree on contract extension

On Thursday, Colorado State announced that it had given head coach Mike Bobo a three-year contract extension through 2022 and a raise to $1.8 million next year. The former Georgia quarterback and offensive coordinator is in his third season with the Rams.

Bobo, who led the Rams to a 7-5 record and a berth in the New Mexico Bowl against Marshall, is now the highest paid coach in the Mountain West.

The Thomasville, Georgia native has taken the Rams to a bowl game in each of his three seasons in Fort Collins. The Rams averaged 33.8 points per game this season, 10th best in the nation. Bobo left Georgia after the 2014 season, leading an offense that averaged over 40 points per game.
