Georgia’s All-SEC cornerback Deandre Baker was recognized by the analytical gurus at Pro Football Focus as being the best in the SEC in an important defensive category.

The junior defensive back did not allow a touchdown reception in 372 coverage snaps this season. That led the SEC and was fourth best in the nation. South Florida’s Deatrick Nichols led all FBS cornerbacks with 405 coverage snaps with zero touchdowns allowed.

The Miami Northwestern High graduate recorded 39 tackles this season, with two interceptions and nine pass break-ups for Georgia’s No. 2 ranked pass defense.

The No.3 Bulldogs play No. 2 Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff semifinals on New Year’s Day in the Rose Bowl.  Kickoff is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. EST on the ESPN network.
