Signees Who Could Have An Immediate Impact At Georgia

With the early signing period in the rear-view mirror, and Georgia’s recruiting class en route to making program history, let’s take a look at which signees could have an immediate impact at Georgia next season.

Running backs James Cook and Zamir White

James Cook and Zamir White are two of the most highly rated recruits in the country. White, the No. 1 back in the nation, and Cook, No. 3 in the nation, will both have plenty of opportunities to make an impact early on at Georgia. Cook may make his splash first, though, seeing that White is coming off a recent ACL tear that may put his early season status in jeopardy.

With Nick Chubb and Sony Michel heading to the NFL, Georgia should not miss a beat next season, led by D’Andre Swift.

Offensive linemen Jamaree Salyer, Cade Mays and Trey Hill

Georgia is bringing in a ton of talent on the offensive line, including 5-star tackle Cade Mays, 5-star guard Jamaree Salyer, and 4-star guard Trey Hill (the nation’s No. 2 guard).

Though none may start a game next season, they will provide great depth and should see some playing time.

Outside linebacker Adam Anderson

5-star outside linebacker Adam Anderson should come in and receive immediate playing time. The tall, lanky (6-5, 215 pounds) Anderson will surely need to beef up some, but he is athletic, fast and reminds us of former Georgia great Leonard Floyd. With Lorenzo Carter and Davin Bellamy departing, Anderson will receive a chance to play early.

Defensive end Brenton Cox

Georgia’s defensive line is pretty deep heading into next year, but Brenton Cox is too good not to play. He is an athletic freak, at 6-5, 247 pounds. In 2016, he recorded 18 sacks.
