NFL Draft Analyst Sees Georgia Running Back Sony Michel Rising

Bleacher Report NFL draft analyst Matt Miller has Georgia running back Sony Michel climbing his 2018 draft board.

The versatile Michel has rushed for 948 yards (7.24 yards per carry) and 13 touchdowns this season. Michel’s 3,359 career rushing yards are 3rd best on the Bulldogs all-time list. The Fort Lauderdale native has 60 receptions during his career.

Miller’s report follows:

For a number of reasons, every time I watch Georgia film, I’m moving Michel up my board. Even ahead of his more popular teammate Nick Chubb. Michel is more of an NFL back, given his receiving skills and what he offers as an inside-outside runner. He’s also more agile and can shake defenders in space. Depending on how many running backs leave school early, Michel has a shot at the second round.
