Georgia Star Cornerback Indicates He'll Consider NFL Draft

The deadline for a junior or redshirt sophomore to declare for the NFL Draft is January 15th, one week after the College Football Playoff National Championship — and Georgia defensive back Deandre Baker indicated he will consider declaring for the draft after receiving more feedback from the league.

“I haven’t thought about it. I haven’t thought about the process yet,” Georgia junior cornerback Deandre Baker said. “I’ll do it after the season.”

Baker is yet to reach out the NFL regarding his draft feedback, but according to DawgNation, he indicated he would indeed seek feedback from the NFL and from his coaches as well.

“I need something accurate,” Baker said.

Baker, a junior from Miami, Florida, has had a breakout season this year at Georgia, establishing himself as a physical, lockdown cornerback. Baker has started every game but one this season, he has two interceptions and has added 39 tackles as well. Baker was selected to the coaches All-SEC second team.
