Jake Fromm's High School Jersey & Locker To Remain Unused "Until Somebody Can Prove That They're Worthy"

Jake Fromm took the SEC – and all of college football – by storm during his true freshman season at Georgia.

At times, Jake Fromm played like a true freshman quarterback. For the most part, though, Fromm looked like a seasoned veteran, playing smart and poised, and that’s backed by Freshman All-American honors, an SEC Championship, a Rose Bowl victory and a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Fromm came to UGA as a 5-star quarterback from Houston County in Warner Robins, Georgia. Though Fromm may no longer be playing for the Houston County Bears, his legacy certainly lives on.

According to Cam Gaskins of WGXA in Macon, Fromm’s former high school coach did not allow anybody to wear Fromm’s old jersey number or use his locker this past season.

And that may not change for a long time, as Houston County head coach Ryan Crawford told Gaskins, “Until somebody can prove that they’re worthy of his legacy, that locker might just stay vacant.”
