Matching Alabama Vs Georgia By The Numbers

Alabama and Georgia each make a return trip this season to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. This time, the stakes are greater — an NCAA national championship.

Alabama opened the season in Atlanta by beating Florida State, 24-7. Georgia beat Auburn in the SEC Championship game, 28-7.

Side note: This will be Georgia’s ninth game in the state of Georgia and third in Atlanta this season. The Georgia Tourism Department and Economic Development Office should each present the team a steak dinner at Bone’s in Buckhead.

As the 3rd and 4th ranked teams in the College Football Playoffs, the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide are evenly matched. Both have excellent defenses and powerful running attacks. They have a similar style of play, each with a run-oriented offense and hard hitting, fast and aggressive defense.
