The Georgia men’s basketball team had a strong week to start off SEC play
Georgia (11-3) started off the week with a tough road loss to then #16 Kentucky. The Wildcats (12-3) were down for the majority of the game, but they mounted a comeback to edge Georgia 66-61.
The Dawgs returned to Athens to open up their home SEC slate with Ole Miss (9-6). Georgia beat the Rebels 71-60 in a game they controlled from the start.
Saturday, the Alabama Crimson Tide (9-6) came into town, led by Jonathan Sexton. Georgia dominated the entire first half, which proved too much for the Tide to overcome.
The final score was 65-46, in favor of the Dawgs, who are now 2-1 in SEC play.
Georgia is 11-3 and in a very good position to make the NCAA Tournament this year.
