A Great Run, But Georgia Falls Short

The Georgia Bulldogs have fallen to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

It was an incredible run Kirby Smart and the Dawgs made in 2017. Though UGA fell short, this was a season the fans will never forget. A season in which Georgia got over the hump, won the big games, earned the respect it deserved and never quit, has come to an end.

The good news: This is just the beginning. Georgia will be back.

The best young coach in the business. The best recruiting class in the nation. The best fans in world.

Year in review

From a group of juniors announcing they’ll return for one more year in red and black, to true freshman quarterback Jake Fromm taking over for an injured Jacob Eason, to a thrilling win in South Bend, to a devastating loss on the Plains, to exacting revenge on the Tigers in the SEC Championship, to a wild Rose Bowl victory over Oklahoma and now…to falling to Alabama in the national championship…..it was one hell of a ride.

To the seniors who returned for one last go in 2017, we thank you deeply. Your dedication to the Georgia program has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated.

Go Dawgs.
