Report: Georgia Quarterback Jacob Eason Expected To Transfer Out West

Georgia played its final game of the season on Monday night, and it is being reported that it was also likely the last time quarterback Jacob Eason suited up in red and black.

According to Adam Jude of the Seattle Times, former No. 1 overall recruit Jacob Eason will likely transfer from Georgia to Washington.

Eason came to Athens as a 5-star player out of Lake Stevens, Washington, just a short 35 mile drive from Husky Stadium. After starting all but one game his freshman year, he found himself second on the depth chart behind Jake Fromm during his sophomore season thanks a knee injured sustained in week 1.

Georgia also added yet another 5-star quarterback to the mix in Justin Fields, who is already enrolled and on campus, crowding the position with even more NFL caliber talent.

For Eason, this move makes perfect sense. He has all the capabilities of being an NFL quarterback. Plus, after a pretty good freshman season he can only improve, and I’m sure he did but we never had the chance to see it this year.

During his freshman year, Eason threw 16 touchdowns to 8 interceptions. He had 2,430 passing yards as well.

We wish Eason the best at Washington.
