Jacob Eason Confirms Transfer From Georgia

On January 9th, it was reported by the Seattle Times that Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason would transfer to Washington.

On Friday, Eason confirmed his transfer on Twitter. He did not mention the school he’d transfer to, though.

Eason came to Athens as a 5-star player out of Lake Stevens, Washington. After starting all but one game his freshman year, he found himself second on the depth chart behind Jake Fromm during his sophomore season thanks a knee injured sustained in week 1.

Georgia also added yet another 5-star quarterback to the mix in Justin Fields, who is already enrolled and on campus, crowding the position with even more NFL caliber talent.

For Eason, this move makes perfect sense. He has all the capabilities of being an NFL quarterback. Plus, after a pretty good freshman season he can only improve, and I’m sure he did but we never had the chance to see it this year.

During his freshman year, Eason threw 16 touchdowns to 8 interceptions. He had 2,430 passing yards as well.

We wish Eason the best.
