Future College Football Playoff Championship Sites, Dates

In its short 4-year history, the College Football Playoff National Championship has been to Arlington, Texas (2015), Glendale, Arizona (2016), Tampa, Florida (2017) and Atlanta, Georgia (2018).

In 2017-18, it was Georgia’s turn to participate in the College Football Playoff, and the Dawgs lucked out as they had the privilege of playing for the title in their backyard of Atlanta, Georgia.

As Kirby Smart said, “Georgia is a force to be reckoned with” for years to come, and with the recruiting success that Smart has found at Georgia, it’s not crazy to assume he will have the Dawgs in the hunt for the title game in the foreseeable future.

On Tuesday, the College Football Playoff sent a tweet reminding fans of the future national championship dates and sites for the next 6 years. Georgia fans may want to mark their calendars.

Next season, the game will be at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, followed by New Orleans (2020), Miami (2021), Indianapolis (2022), Los Angeles (2023) and Houston (2024).

Considering the crowds we saw Georgia draw throughout the 2017 season,  if the Dawgs make it back to the big game, expect any of these future sites to be painted red and black.
