Taking A Look At Georgia's Historic 2018 Recruiting Class

Rivals.com came out with its final update to the 2018 recruiting class and, based on the updated rankings, Georgia is on the verge of putting together one of the greatest recruiting classes in history.

The latest update to Rivals shows that Georgia currently has seven five-star recruits, more than any other school in the nation. Georgia is currently tied with Alabama (2017 recruiting class) for the most five-star recruits in one class in SEC history.

With the addition of one more five-star recruit, Georgia’s eight five-star signees would tie for the most any school has ever had in one recruiting class. USC’s 2004 recruiting class is currently the only class to ever finish with eight five-star recruits.

With national signing day coming in two weeks, Georgia is heavily recruiting one more five-star recruit to join the class.

Cornerback Tyson Campbell out of American Heritage in Plantation, Florida ranks as the nation’s 25th player according to the Rivals rankings. The experts at 247Sports predict Campbell will commit to Georgia, but we will have to wait and see what direction Campbell chooses. Miami appears to be Georgia’s biggest threat.

Here are Georgia’s seven five-star signees:

  • Justin Fields – QB
  • Zamir (Zeus) White – RB
  • Cade Mays – OL
  • Jamaree Salyer – OL
  • Brenton Cox – DE
  • James Cook – RB
  • Adam Anderson – DE
