Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason has officially departed Athens, Georgia, according to multiple of his teammates’ Instagrams.
Eason came to Athens as a 5-star player out of Lake Stevens, Washington. After starting all but one game his freshman year, he found himself second on the depth chart behind Jake Fromm during his sophomore season thanks to a knee injured sustained in week 1.
Georgia also added yet another 5-star quarterback to the mix in Justin Fields, who is already enrolled and on campus, crowding the position with even more NFL caliber talent.
Don’t even know where to start with this one, but what a ride 10. Can’t believe you’re headed out today, because this wasn’t how we planned it or thought it was gonna be. Im going to miss the hell out of you my boy and the house ain’t gonna be the same without you in it. I’m excited for you to go ball out again and see you sling it around. Hell of a friend, and hell of a quarterback, love ya 10
For Eason, this move makes perfect sense. He has all the capabilities of being an NFL quarterback. Plus, after a pretty good freshman season he can only improve, and I’m sure he did but we never had the chance to see it this year.
During his freshman year, Eason threw 16 touchdowns to 8 interceptions. He had 2,430 passing yards as well.
We wish Eason the best.
