Georgia outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter just completed his NFL Combine. Carter worked out on the bench press Saturday but participated in all of the other drills on Sunday. Today, Carter ran a 4.46 40-yard dash inside Lucas Oil Stadium.Carter’s 40 was faster than fellow Bulldogs Nick Chubb (4.52), Sony Michel (4.54) and Roquan Smith (4.52). Unfortunately for Smith, he felt tightness in his hamstring and decided to stop the workout. Smith will get a second chance at Georgia’s Pro Day on the 21st. Also to note, Davin Bellamy did not participate in the 40-yard dash due to hamstring issues and will run on the 21st.
Carter’s sprint in the 40-yard dash broke the record for Georgia’s fastest 40 by an outside linebacker. Carter passed Marcus Howard (4.47), Boss Bailey (4.58), Leonard Floyd (4.60) and Justin Houston (4.62) on the Georgia record board.
