Georgia Football Employee Arrested

According to Chip Towers of DawgNation, a Georgia football employee has been arrested.

Kevin Purvis, who had worked in Georgia’s equipment department since 2006, was booked into the Athens-Clarke County jail on Friday.  Purvis’ contract was terminated by Georgia as soon as the university was made aware of his actions.  Purvis was arrested on 4 charges, related to illegal drugs – a schedule II controlled substance and marijuana – and criminal eavesdropping.

Before working at Georgia, Purvis worked in the Valdosta State equipment room.  The University of Georgia Police Department was notified of Purvis’ actions by the athletic association. His bond was set at $16,000.
