News spread across Twitter later last week that Javon Wims has an interview scheduled with the Atlanta Falcons.
Wims spent two years with the Georgia Bulldogs. Before enrolling into Georgia, Wims spent a season at Hinds Community College, where he put together an amazing season, propelling him up the ranks and finishing as a top-5 JUCO receiver prospect.
The 6-foot-6, 215 pound wide receiver could be a major late-round steal for the Falcons, a team who is in the market for another pass-catcher on offense. Wims was a major factor in Georgia’s Rose-Bowl victory over the Oklahoma Sooners, where he came down with 6 receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Wims finished his Georgia career with 62 receptions for 910 yards and 8 touchdowns. Last season, Wims totaled 45 receptions for 720 yards and 7 touchdowns.
