ESPN’s NFL draft analyst Todd McShay recently released a mock draft (pay site) in which he made selections for each team that would yield them a draft grade of an “A.”
In the three round mock draft, McShay included both Georgia running backs Sony Michel and Nick Chubb, suggesting two NFC teams would benefit from their services.
First, McShay writes that in order for the New York Giants to merit an A, they should consider drafting Michel in the second round – 34th overall.
“Michel would fit the glaring need at running back and could contribute in the passing game,” writes McShay.
McShay continues with pick No. 51, writing that the Detroit Lions should take a look at Chubb.
“Chubb had an exceptional combine, and if his medical checks out, he could be a steal in the middle of the second round,” said McShay. “He had an exceptional combine.”
