According to a contract provided to Seth Emerson of The Athletic via an open records request from UGA, Georgia has scheduled a 2023 game with the Sycamores of Indiana State. The Bulldogs will pay Indiana State a $500,000 guarantee to play the game in Athens.
Last season, Indiana State went 0-11 and lost all of their Missouri Valley Conference games.
This coming season, Georgia’s non-conference slate features Austin Peay, Middle Tennessee, UMass and Georgia Tech. In 2019, however, things get a bit more exciting as Notre Dame will pay a visit to the classic city as a result of a home-and-home series that saw Georgia visit South Bend in 2017.
