To say Georgia had a successful spring game might be an understatement after Saturday. The Bulldogs drew 82,184 fans to a Sanford Stadium that had a depleted capacity due to construction of the west end zone, which secured them a 2nd place finish in attendance nationwide. The only school with more fans in attendance was Nebraska, who saw 86,818 fans come out.
Without renovations being done to the west end zone, which took away roughly 10,000 seats, Georgia surely would have secured the top attendance spot with ease. Following a national championship defeat, Georgia fans showed they are ready for the ride ahead, and are looking forward to the future of Georgia football.
Overall, Georgia placed 2nd in attendance, which beat out the next SEC school (Alabama) by almost 10,000. You can view the top attendance numbers for several spring games below.
