Rose Bowl Twitter Account Tweets Nostalgic Highlight Video Of Georgia's 54-48 Overtime Win

2018 Rose Bowl. Georgia vs. Oklahoma. For a shot at the national title.

I get chills just writing that.

For as long as we live, Georgia fans may never experience another win like the one in Pasadena on New Year’s Day, 2018. And that’s fine with me.

On Wednesday, the Rose Bowl Twitter account, feeling a slight sense of nostalgia during the long offseason, tweeted a poll asking the fans which Rose Bowl game was their favorite. Though the 2006 Rose Bowl may have been one of the most exciting national championship games in recent memory, it did not even come close to the Georgia/Oklahoma thriller, according to the fans.

Following the poll, the Rose Bowl tweeted this highlight video of the emotional rollercoaster that was Georgia’s 54-48 overtime win against Oklahoma and Heisman winner Baker Mayfield.

Also, just for fun, throwback to that time Mayfield, using his thumb to mimic the slashing of his throat, uttered “it’s over” while Oklahoma held a decent-sized lead over Georgia.
