Georgia Misses Out On 2019 5-Star OLB Owen Pappoe


On Tuesday, at a live event at Sports and Social in Atlanta, 2019 5-star Grayson High School outside linebacker Owen Pappoe announced his college decision.

Pappoe announced he would playing his college football at Auburn.

Pappoe, who was deciding between Georgia, Auburn and Tennessee, has been on UGA’s radar since Pappoe was a rising a 9th grade, when Mark Richt extended him an offer.

Pappoe ranks as the nation’s 8th overall prospect in the class of 2019, top ranked outside linebacker and 2nd player in the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Pappoe would have become Georgia’s 4th 5-star player in the 2019 recruiting class, where he would have joined wide receivers Jadon Haselwood and Dominick Blaylock, and defensive end Nolan Smith.
