Georgia Head Coach Kirby Smart has a little more to celebrate on Father’s Day with the commitment of massive offensive tackle Xavier Truss of Bishop Hendricken in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Truss is the nation’s 10th rated tackle in the nation and the number one prospect in the state. The 6’ 7” 340-pounder appeared to be a lock for Penn State but Smart and offensive line coach Sam Pittman worked their magic.
Truss visited Alabama and Auburn earlier in the week and was in Athens on Saturday.
He is the first offensive lineman commit in Georgia’s 2019 class and the Dawgs’ overall 10th commit. Georgia now has the country’s 5th-highest rated class.
