Report: Jake Fromm Sustains Injury To Hand

According to Radi Nabulsi of Rivals, Georgia sophomore quarterback Jake Fromm has broken his hand as a result of what was described as a “freak lake incident.” A source confirmed to DawgNation that it is his non-throwing hand, allowing UGA fans everywhere to let out a sigh of relief.

It seems to Georgia fans that they are having deja vu after last year’s starting quarterback Jacob Eason went down with an injury and had to be replaced by Fromm. We do not know how long Fromm will be out, but this definitely opens the door for freshman quarterback Justin Fields.

Update: Fromm broke the non-throwing hand on Monday at Lake Burton in Northeast Georgia.  It is unlikely that Fromm will miss much playing time during the season due to the injury.  Georgia fans can breathe a sigh of relief after what looked to be a serious blow at first.
