Former Cal wide receiver Demetris Robertson will be suiting up in red and black for the 2019 season. The ex-Golden Bear announced that he would be transferring from Cal last month via social media.
He tweeted out a small list of possible landing spots and made a decision date for this Saturday.
Robertson decided to choose Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs over 3 other big-name schools. The Dawgs beat out Alabama, West Virginia and Texas for the Savannah, Georgia native, who previously opted not to join Kirby Smart’s team.
The 6-0, 190-pound speedster caught 50 passes for 767 yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman, and served as a dangerous kick returner, but he missed almost all of last season injured. Not expected to be eligible right away, he’ll have to sit out a year, but the Dawgs are getting a true No. 1 target who can stretch the field.
