After a successful weekend for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs – landing speedy WR Demetris Robinson from Cal – the recruiting success continues to come.
Monday, 4-star offensive lineman Warren McClendon Jr. decided that he, too, wanted to don the silver britches in Athens.
Ranked 207th in the nation and 23rd in Georgia by Rivals.com, McClendon brings a huge boost to the future of the Bulldogs’ offensive line. In addition to being a 4-star prospect, the lineman out of Brunswick is considered the 22nd best player at his position.
McClendon chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida and South Carolina. However, the Gamecocks seemed to be Georgia’s main competition in landing the lineman.
Georgia offensive line coach Sam Pittman tweeted out this video in reaction to the big news.
