Look: Young Georgia Fan Recreates ‘Savage Pads’

The newly designed ‘savage pads’ worn by Bulldog defenders who get a turnover are becoming iconic. Last season, a t-shirt was designed with a graphic of the spiked shoulder pads which sold like hot cakes.

Now, some Georgia fans are even going to the lengths of creating their own sets of spikes.

On Tuesday at the College Football Hall of Fame, a young Bulldog showed up decked in red and black. The young boy had his own miniature set of pads, which got signed by coach Kirby Smart. Numerous members of the press attending SEC Media Days decided to swarm the young fan for pictures, as his cute costume idea blew up.

After meeting one of his heroes in coach Smart, the little boy was absolutely awestruck. Having been caught in the moment, he seemed to be at a loss for words.
