Former Georgia Tech Player Takes Shot At UGA On Twitter

We are currently in the dog days of summer and it seems that we need college football more than ever.  After former South Carolina wide receiver Tori Gurley got into some Twitter beef with Georgia fans last week, guaranteeing a South Carolina victory over UGA this season, it seems that another battle has sprung. Though this time, it’s from an alum of Georgia’s in-state rival, Georgia Tech.

Former Georgia Tech nose tackle T.J. Barnes, currently an NFL free agent, took to Twitter to call out Georgia for being ‘trash’ after the @UGASpikeSquad made a joke about Florida.

Barnes tweeted the following which set a lot of Bulldog fans off and started a heated debate.

The Spike Squad responded to Barnes, reminding him of his lack of success against the Dawgs, tweeting that he was 0-4 against Georgia during his career. However, Barnes did make it noted that his correct record against Georgia is 1-4.

It should not be a bragging point to be 1-4 against a team, but Barnes wanted to make sure that the correct stat line got addressed. We really do need the season to start before these Twitter battles get to the point of overkill.
