Georgia Tennis Star Set To Take Center Stage At BB&T Atlanta Open

Georgia tennis standout Emil Reinberg is bound for Atlanta again to showcase his talents at the BB&T Atlanta Open.  The rising star received a wild-card berth into the tournament after playing doubles at the event last year.

Atlantic Station will be packed as the hometown kid squares off against Mikhail Youhzny of Russia for a spot in the next round.  Reinberg, a rising junior in Athens, will look to impress the peach state crowd and get a big victory on college night.

The BB&T is hosting a few of the Bulldogs’ cheerleaders and ‘Hairy Dawg’ for the event, which will feature a Georgia themed coin toss.  Also, I’d like to note that my sister, Katie Fryburger, will be singing the national anthem before the match.  She is a student at the Lovett School in Buckhead who sang the anthem for a match at last year’s tournament, too.

You can catch all of the action around 7:00 p.m. on the ESPN app.
