We all knew that Tyler Simmons was onside in the National Championship game. What we didn’t know was that the whole play would turn into a running joke, and minor act of protest, for Bulldog fans that will show up just about anywhere.  We have seen Dawg fans write out the famous words “Tyler Simmons was onside” on the Sanford Stadium bridge, in the snow, in the game of Fortnite and now at the beach.

Georgia student Anna Parks, an occasional writer here at UGAWire.com, is the most recent to protest the blown call, transcribing the now infamous words at Daytona Beach this week.

For those that recall, Parks is the same fan who poured her heart into this incredible and relatable article about the game several months ago.

The Simmons phrase seems like it will be around for a long time, that is unless the Dawgs quickly win a championship to put it to rest.  Below, we have compiled some of our favorite uses of the phrase.
