Watch: These Demetris Robertson Highlights Will Get You Hyped

Demetris Robertson left many Georgia Bulldogs fans feeling betrayed when he chose to go out of state in 2016 and signed with California-Berkley after months of debating. However, he eventually found his way to Kirby Smart’s team in the end and with now being ruled eligible for the 2018 season, it seems to have worked out for fans.

Robertson had a tremendous freshman season in 2016 before taking a medical redshirt for his 2017 sophomore campaign. The Savannah, Georgia native recorded 767 yards on 50 receptions in his first year for Cal with 7 touchdowns. Last season Robertson had 1 touchdown on a 34-yard run but ended his season early with a lower-body injury.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, in speaking on Robertson, mentioned he is “really excited for Demetris because he’s a great kid.”  Smart also noted that Robertson has “blended in well” amongst the team.

Smart continued on Saturday by discussing Robertson’s toughness.

“The one thing I wasn’t aware of, he has really good toughness,” Smart added. “He’s gone out and competed every day. He’s probably not in the shape that our guys are, because our guys go through the summer running and conditioning and he didn’t. … But I’m really pleased with his work ethic.”

“I am happy he’s going to be able to be closer to home and play in front of his family,” Smart added.

In celebration of Robertson’s waiver approval, we have added a few hype videos for your enjoyment on the 6-0 185 lb wide receiver.
