Well, Georgia fans, what seemed to be the worst possible outcome for Zamir White has come true. The incoming freshman just got back to health after tearing his ACL in a high school playoff game last year, but now it has been reported that he has torn his other ACL, too.
Head coach Kirby Smart told reporters earlier that he did not know the extent of the knee injury and that White was currently undergoing an MRI, but now the bad news has become official. White will have to forgo his freshman season due to the injury and take a medical redshirt.
Georgia will certainly miss White this season, but the Bulldogs are heavily stacked at the position regardless. It’s too bad we have to wait to see ‘Zeus’ play in red and black, but the wait will be worth it soon enough.
