Reports: Georgia In Talks On Home And Home With Big 12 Blue Blood

Georgia Bulldogs fans have expressed their frustrations with the current non-conference slate and it seems like the athletic department is listening.  After a  somewhat disappointing lineup of Austin Peay, Middle Tennessee, UMass and Georgia Tech, the Bulldogs have already announced neutral site games with Virginia (2020) and Oregon (2022).

With that being said, 247Horns has some intriguing news that may be in the works.

After all of the buzz surrounding Notre Dame’s visit to Athens (2019), and the recently named neutral site games, Georgia is reportedly in talks with the Texas Longhorns on a home and home series.

Unlike the other matchups listed, the series will likely not get started until at least 2028.

Texas currently has significant non-conference matchups scheduled until 2028, so it seems that the earliest date for the series to kickoff will be in a decade.

Assuming the series does work out, the second leg would take place during the 2029 season.

Count us in for a trip to Austin to see our beloved Bulldogs.
