Colorado State Coach Mike Bobo Released From Hospital; Returns To Practice

The good news fans in Fort Collins and Athens have been hoping for seems to be true now.

Colorado State head coach Mike Bobo was thankfully released from the hospital after 10 days and is back at practice with the team.  Bobo was in the hospital for a medical issue involving numbness in his feet, which he addressed last week.

The extent of the condition is not completely known, but it was serious enough to concern the entire college football world.  Bobo’s presence on the football field is of the least importance during this entire situation, but it was good to hear that the former Georgia quarterback and offensive coordinator was back with his team on Wednesday.

“I really can’t put in words how excited I am to be back,” he told reporters.

Bobo told reporters on Wednesday that he would indeed be coaching the Hawaii game Saturday, but of course, the game is secondary to his recovery. The 44-year-old Augusta native is expected to coach the game from the booth rather than the field.
