Georgia Places 12 On Preseason Coaches All-SEC Team


SEC coaches announced the 2018 Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference Football Team Thursday, and the squad was led by 12 Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia placed three players on the first team, which was led by a league-best five from Alabama. The Bulldogs were tied for second with Florida and Missouri for most first team players. Overall, Alabama came in second behind Georgia with 10 selections, followed by Auburn with nine representatives.

Georgia placed senior cornerback Deandre Baker, junior safety J.R. Reed and junior placekicker Rodrigo Blankenship on the first team. Second team Bulldogs include offensive tackle Andrew Thomas, center Lamont Gaillard, tight end Isaac Nauta, wide receiver Terry Godwin, running back D’Andre Swift, defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter, linebacker D’Andre Walker and return specialist Mecole Hardman Jr. Quarterback Jake Fromm was selected for the third team.
