4-Star Defensive Lineman Commits To Georgia

We may still be a week away from the Georgia Bulldogs’ opening game with Austin Peay, but this weekend is packed with tons of action for the Dawgs.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Javon Wims is dazzling fans in the Windy City with diving grabs while Kirby Smart is piling on the recruiting success in Athens.

The Bulldogs have added 4-star junior defensive lineman Jamil Burroughs to their 2020 recruiting class, according to an exclusive video released by Rivals.

Burroughs is ranked as the 63rd overall prospect in the nation and 8th in the state of Georgia.  The junior also lines up as the 4th best defensive tackle in the country.

The Dawgs got the nod over Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina and Alabama.

At 6-3, 305 pounds, the peach state native from McEachern High School certainly adds another level of excitement to Week 0 of the 2018 football season.

Burroughs announcement on Saturday came as a birthday present to his mother, who is gifted with the news of her son staying home in Georgia. He mentioned it was a way of honoring her for everything she did to start his young athletic career.
