It's (Almost) Saturday in Athens

Well, folks, we made it. After eight long months without football, we’re merely 24 hours away from the University of Georgia Bulldogs taking the field at Sanford Stadium. In other news, it turns out there is a God after all.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent much of the past week watching every single UGA 2018 hype video the internet has to offer. Now it’s finally time for the real thing, and I’m happier than an Austin Peay fan doing whatever it is Austin Peay fans do.

I’d come up with a better joke, but the only thing I know about Austin Peay is that their mascot is a Governor. Because, as we all know, nothing strikes fear into the hearts of your opponents quite like a high ranking state-government official.

Coming off of one of the most successful seasons in school history, expectations are extremely high for the Dawgs this year. If we learned anything from last year’s run, it’s that we absolutely must take it one game at a time, and that all starts with dropping a million points on the “Govs” tomorrow afternoon.

If you’d like to find me in the morning, I’ll be the guy that’s blackout drunk yelling about how Kirby is the second coming of Christ.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go play “Baba O’Riley” until my ears bleed.

Happy Football Season and Go Damn Dawgs.
