Georgia Releases First Depth Chart

The silence has been broken as Kirby Smart has finally released Georgia’s depth chart for the first game against Austin Peay.

Though “or” is listed at some of the offensive positions, the depth chart was rather telling.

As expected, Jake Fromm will get the start at the quarterback position over Justin Fields.

The running back slots listed D’Andre Swift “or” Elijah Holyfield “or” Brian Herrien followed by fresbman James Cook, in that order.

With senior receiver Terry Godwin out for week one, the three starting receivers will be Mecole Hardman (or Ahkil Crumpton), Riley Ridley (or Jayson Stanley) and Tyler Simmons.

The offensive line, from left to right, is as follows: Andrew Thomas, Solomon Kindley (or Trey Hill), Lamont Gaillard, Ben Cleveland, Isaiah Wilson.

Isaac Nauta “or” Charlie Woerner was listed as tight ends.

The defensive side of the ball had no “or” present.

Along the defensive line shows Tyler Clark, Julian Rochester and Jonathan Ledbetter.

The linebackers will be:

SAM: Walter Grant

JACK: D’Andre Walker

MIKE: Monty Rice

WILL: Juwan Taylor

At cornerback will be Deandre Baker and Tyson Campbell.

Safety spots will be occupied by J.R. Reed and Richard LeCounte.

William Poole will run the star position.

Mecole Hardman will return punts and kickoffs.
