Maria Taylor Responds To Saban Tantrum; Media Shows Support

Former Georgia volleyball and basketball player Maria Taylor may be one of the coolest reporters in the game, handling just about everything with a sense of swagger.

After being blasted by Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban last night, Taylor kept her composure and stood the 5-foot 6 coach down without losing her professionalism.

After the game, Taylor responded to the encounter on Twitter, again being the bigger person in the incident which was totally uncalled for.

The media who works with Taylor happened to respond to Saban’s meltdown too, backing Taylor for just doing her job.

Paul Finebaum went on SportsCenter this morning and said “for Nick Saban on that stage to treat Maria Taylor like that is totally classless. He does not rule the world. He is a football coach at the University of Alabama. He might be the best coach in college football and best coach of all time, but when he continues to treat people like that, he loses. It was totally classless.”

As Finebaum is an avid SEC supporter, being the face of the SEC Network, his response sent a message that Saban needs to respect the media more.

Heck, we will probably hear Saban complaining about the media spinning this incident in a day or two.

Saban, if you don’t want to be asked annoying questions, stop pretending like Jalen Hurts actually has a chance at being your starting quarterback.
