Opening Line Set For Georgia vs. South Carolina

The Georgia Bulldogs took care of business as expected on Saturday, as did the South Carolina Gamecocks.  Now, both teams can finally prepare for their long-awaited September 8th clash in Williams-Brice Stadium, which highlights the SEC slate for Week 2.

The official opening line for the game was announced Sunday, with the Bulldogs receiving a nine and a half to ten point edge.  However, the Gamecocks will likely push the line lower as the week goes on.

Expect for Georgia to be around a touchdown favorite heading into kickoff on Saturday.

Georgia obviously has an advantage over the Gamecocks in terms of talent, but the road atmosphere in Columbia creates a hostile environment, especially for the Young Dawgs.

South Carolina fans are eager to see their team climb to the top of the SEC and finally win a conference championship, having only a 1969 ACC Title in their trophy room.

Next weekend should be an exciting game to watch, given the implications on the Eastern Division.  The Dawgs have little margin for error, but it would seem that a victory in Columbia boosts their chances at another appearance in Atlanta greatly.
