Will Muschamp Talks Georgia Football, Concerns For This Weekend's Game

During Wednesday’s SEC Coaches’ Teleconference, South Carolina head football coach Will Muschamp talked the Georgia Bulldogs and what concerns him most about this weekend’s game.

Muschamp started by pointing out Georgia’s massive offensive line, which averages 323 pounds per player (that’s a lot of beef).

“They have a massive offensive line,” Muschamp said.

Muschamp continued by listing off more areas of this Georgia team that can cause issues for his Gamecocks.

“Lots of speed on the field. … They can threaten you in the middle … they have a QB that led you to the title game and an SEC title … a stable of backs, looks like he’s (Swift) running through contact even better than he did last year,” said the former Georgia safety and now Gamecock coach.

On what this game means for USC.

“We have the every week as a season mentality. I liked our focus last week, and I like the mentality this week. The outcome of this game will not determine the season for us.”

And for UGA quarterback Justin Fields, Muschamp mentioned how he offered him when Fields in high school.

“Well, we have a small sample size in terms of studying Fields,” he said. “He is an outstanding young man, we offered Justin here, he can make all the throws. … I think they (Fields and Fromm) are very similar, size-wise. Both really good football players.”
