Halftime Report: Everything You Need To Know Before The Action Resumes

That first half was, well, an interesting one to say the least.  The reigning SEC Champions head to the locker room with a 20-10 lead over South Carolina, in one of the wildest halves of the college football season.

Georgia opened the game with a huge pick-six of South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley, but that was only the beginning.  Cornerback Deandre Baker returned the interception for what looked like a touchdown, but he actually fumbled the ball.

Baker dropped the ball around the one-yard line in celebration, thinking that he had scored.  However, Juwan Taylor came to the rescue and recovered the ball for a touchdown anyway, starting the game off strong for the Dawgs.

D’Andre Swift gave Georgia a 14-0 lead in a flash, and just like that, the Bulldogs were in business early.

South Carolina battled back though, showing off a newfound resilience to their home fans.  Wide receiver Deebo Samuel got the Gamecocks on the board with a passing touchdown, on a clever trick play.

After a high-scoring start, Rodrigo Blankenship and Parker White traded field goals to make the score 17-7, with another three points for the Bulldogs, who currently lead 20-10 heading into halftime.
