One Year Ago Today...


On this date in 2017, Georgia let the country know the Bulldogs were legit.

In a 20-19 win over the ranked Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, Georgia football began its championship run, eventually falling to Alabama in January in a heartbreaker.

But it was on September 9, 2017 that Dawgnation knew they had something special.

It was on this date that Georgia fans came together and took over South Bend, Indiana. Georgia takeovers would then go on to be a theme for the 2017 season. No matter who the Dawgs played, the stadium was predominantly red.

It was a historic season for Georgia, and the fans loved every minute of it. Sure, it broke the bank for a lot of us, but the chance to see Georgia play at Notre Dame, in the SEC Championship, in the Rose Bowl and then in the National Championship was to sweet to pass up.

Let’s relive one of our favorite moments for 2017…

It was the second quarter. Georgia was down 10-3…then this happened.
